Kiwi

Kiwi Bird About the size of a chicken, the kiwi is a small, flightless, and nearly wingless bird found only in New Zealand. Like its larger cousins the cassowary, emu, ostrich, and rhea, the kiwi is classified as a ratite. Can be found Stewart Island, Kiwi Birdlife Park, The National Kiwi Centre in Hokitika, Orana Wildlife Park, Trounson Kauri Park,Whangarei Bird Recovery Centre,Otorohanga Kiwi House and Native Bird Park,Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, Rainbow Springs Nature Park Rotarua.

Tautara

Tautara ,Tuatara are a rare reptile found only in New Zealand. They are the last survivors of an order of reptiles that thrived in the age of the dinosaurs.They live on a few islets in the western Cook Strait, and the North Island and approximately 30 islets off the island’s northeast coast. Tuatara is the Maori word for “peaks on the back.”
