Tasmania, Especially good places to see spotted-tailed are Cradle Mt. National Park and the Arthur River area. Eastern quolls can often be seen at Mt Field National Park. North Western Australia.(Northern Quoll) Visitors to stations such as Mount Hart, in the Kimberley, may see them in the garden if spotlighting at night. Northern quolls are numerous on Koolan island in the Buccaneer Archipelago.They are also seen on islands off the Burrup Peninsula and at Python Pool in the Millstream–Chichester National Park.
NT and Queensland. Northern Quoll. Several areas in NT also Daintree and Ravensthorpe areas near Cairns.
There are about 5000 Northern quolls on Pobassoo Island and Astell Island , part of a breeding program aimed at protecting the quolls from cane toads.
